I’ll make this short and sweet. READ THIS BOOK. This is one of the best books I’ve read this year. If I had to rate this book on a scale of 1 to 5, I’d give it a 10. The characters are so compelling that you fall in love with them immediately. There’s a lot of emotion (which I love personally) that builds their attraction to one another that makes them more human and not just characters in a story. They are hot, domineering, sexy encounters that will have you panting. The story line is very believable and keeps you reading to see what happens next, enticing you with twists and turns that you don’t see coming. The last chapter is worth reading over and over again (as Christina mentioned in her review on this site).
Troy and Ruby clash from the moment they meet. Troy is a cop who has recently moved to New York, still dealing with the death of his partner in Chicago. Ruby is a hustler, highly independent and self-sufficient most of her life, attending college to make a better life for herself.
This is the second book in the Line of Duty series. I’ve read Protecting What’s His and now can’t wait to read the third Officer Off Limits. Join the fun.
