Dorrie Haverstick is the one woman Ian Keller wants with a burning passion…and can’t have. Her connection to the man responsible for his father’s death makes her poison. That doesn’t make him want her any less.

Dorrie’s life is filled with secrets. Her beloved father runs the Russian crime family in Philadelphia but keeps her existance a secret. To acknowledge her would put her in constant danger and destroy her reputation as a physician. But his money funds her medical practice and she’s the on-call doctor for his men.

Decorated vet Ben Shaw knows his cousin Ian’s transition from the shadowy world of black ops into regular life has been difficult. But when he sees Ian’s interest in Dorrie, he sees Ian’s salvation in her eyes. There’s only one problem: Ben falls hard for the quiet, driven Dorrie.

Does Ben take Dorrie for himself? Or does he step back and wait for Ian to make his move? Either way, someone’s on the outside. Unless they can agree on one indecent solution…

Damn, now this is a woman I’ll gladly take to bed.

In worn jeans and a faded t-shirt, Dorrie Haverstick made Ben’s dick hard, a fact she’d notice if he didn’t get himself under control.

Sure, the dress she’d had on earlier had made him take a second look but this was the real woman.

Her dark hair hung damp, the shoulder-length waves surprisingly sexy. And she hadn’t reapplied her makeup, which she didn’t need anyway.

She looked much younger and so much less like the polished sophisticate he’d seen at the club.

Was this the woman Ian dreamed about at night? The dreams that kept his cousin awake most nights and made Ian grumpier than a teething toddler the next morning?

Ben had been meaning to ask Ian about his worsening mood but hadn’t found the right time. Ian probably would’ve blown him off anyway.

Since they’d bought into Adam Oleksy’s private security firm six months ago, Ian had thrown himself into his career change with the zeal of a recent religious convert. But now Ben had to wonder if there was something else behind his single-minded focus.

Like maybe he was trying not to think about this woman, who continued to stare at him as if he was an alien from another planet.

“Excuse me?”

The question seemed to escape without her conscious knowledge, as if she had no idea what the hell he’d said. The absolutely baffled look on her face amused the hell out of him.

This brilliant woman had no idea how much he wanted to strip her naked and see how flustered she could get when he put his mouth between her legs.

He was about to open his mouth and flirt like hell when he noticed her eyes. Not as bright or sharp as they’d been earlier. How her lids drooped. The lady was practically asleep on her feet.

“Or maybe you just need to let me buy you a drink. You look like you could use one.”

He figured she’d turn him down immediately. When she didn’t…

Well now. Isn’t that interesting?

Then again, maybe she was just too damn tired to come up with a response.

Then she blinked. “And where would we go for that drink? I’m not exactly dressed to go out in public.”

As she swept her hand down her front, he felt justified in letting his gaze follow her hand.

And realized she wasn’t wearing a bra. Not that she needed one.

Well, fuck. He probably shouldn’t dwell on that fact. But he couldn’t make himself drag his gaze away until he’d had a damn good look.

Probably not a good idea to get your hopes up, asshole. Ian has dibs.

At least, that’s what he suspected.

Too bad, because the longer Ben stared at her, the more he wanted to get to know her.

“Would you like to come back to my place for a drink?”

Angela turned to see Hunter approaching. A few seconds later, he was in the chair next to Jake, and Angela had locked the door again, making sure the CLOSED sign was clearly visible.

“I don’t want anyone disturbing us.” She went around her desk and sat, keenly aware of the image she was presenting.

My world. My rules.

The two men glanced at each other before focusing on her.

Jake was the next to speak. “So that’s it? One date and you’ve decided?”

Hunter glanced at him. “One date might have been enough.” He smirked. “What can I say—I’ve got the magic touch.”

Angela put up her hand, stalling the argument. The butterflies in her stomach spiraled up to hurricane levels. “First, I love you both. I do.” She smiled at each man in turn. “And I appreciate that you gave me this time to set my mind right. After Eric—” The name caught in her throat. “After Eric, I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to get it together again, open my heart to anyone. Finding the two of you here was scary and amazing at the same time.” She entwined her fingers, pressing them hard together. “After being played for a fool by Eric, I wasn’t sure about what I wanted, what I needed out of my life. Out of being home here, in Glen Barrow.” Angela glanced up at the framed diplomas on her wall, her qualifications out in the open for all to see. “I started this business and I love it. I love being here, at home, with the people who need and appreciate me and my legal skills.”

Both men nodded in turn, keeping silent.

Angela heard her pulse pounding in her ears, loud and demanding.

“Last night I thought a good long time about what I want out of a relationship. What I need to make me happy.” She forced herself to speak slowly and carefully, afraid of racing through her rehearsed speech. “And I figured it out.”

Both Jake and Hunter leaned in, hanging on each word.

“What I want, what I need—” She looked at each man in turn. “—is you.”

Silence filled the office.

Hunter blinked rapidly, processing the words.

Jake frowned, his lips pressed into a tight line.

She crossed her arms and waited.

Jake was the first to speak. He jabbed a thumb at the man beside him. “‘You’ me or ‘you’ him?”

Angela held her breath for a second before replying. “Both of you.”

She’s one hell of a distraction—the most beautiful woman who has ever stepped foot in my castle. Even though I know I shouldn’t, I have to get one last look at her before she meets my cousin, before he has the chance to claim her.

My stomach sours from the thought and I glance back, taking in the full force of her beauty.

Our time in the garden has left her cheeks pink and her lips swollen from the force of my kiss. Her hair escapes her crimson hood and falls over her breasts in a silky fall of blond. And even though the cloak drapes over her shoulders, masking her luscious curves, her nipples press against the heavy fabric, begging for the flick of my tongue or the stroke of my fingers. She moves quickly, taking small steps, her hands clasped in front of her and her gaze lowered to the floor. She doesn’t know how gorgeous she is, how she draws the attention of men around her, and it only adds to her appeal. As she shuffles up the grand staircase, she glances at me over her shoulder.

I’ll come for you.

She can’t hear my projected thought, not until she pledges her loyalty to our pack, but she smiles nervously, taking her place at the back of the line of pre-shifters.

If Lukas chooses her, if he touches her…

Blog Tour – No Simple Sacrifice by Angel Payne & Victoria Blue

Handsome young business man looking down to his ring while holding one hand in his pocket.

If I could turn back time…

You know what they say about wishing for the impossible.

My name is Talia Perizkova, and time is usually my best friend. It’s been good to me in the months since I left the man who nearly killed me, and I’ve returned the favor by working hard at Stone Global Corp, even getting promoted to lead one of SGC’s key expansion projects.

There’s only one mar on that record. The night I told time to kiss my ass, during a business trip to Vegas with my bosses–yes, my bosses–and experienced a night for the record books with them both. But what happened in the City of Sin refuses to stay there for any of us, and time has joined forces with his pal, karma, to exact payback where it most matters. In my heart.

Fletcher Ford. Drake Newland. They’re two of the business world’s sexiest, most sought-after bachelors, and I’ve fallen for them both. Their passion is everything I crave, their protection is everything I need–and their love is everything my orthodox family will never let me accept.

The solution, according to them, is simple. One man steps down, so at least two of us are happy.

I could find a way…

But sacrifices are rarely simple, and one plus one doesn’t always equal happily-ever-after. That means all three of us have some huge, hard decisions to make. Take a chance on this rare love we’ve been given…or give in to fear, and lose each other forever?

Hi there. I’m Angel: book lover, writing addict, hopeless romantic, pop culture geek and avid shoe lover.

**I have a monthly newsletter now! Sign up for it right here: It’s a cool way to get exclusive info, talk hot heroes, learn about new items in the Angel Payne store, talk hot heroes, further the pie or cake debate…and oh yeah, did I mention talking hot heroes?

A bit about me…

I’ve been hooked on books since I was a kid but it got worse in my twenties, when I discovered romances–the hotter, the better. Growing up in Southern California, with lots of surfer manliness surrounded me, was certainly a good boost for reading about delicious alpha guys and the women who adore them. When I learned I had a knack for telling these stories too, I guess you could say I was doomed–though my path toward romance novelist took a few detours via a concert-reviewing gig for my college newspaper (free show tickets…backstage passes…that was a no-brainer), artist interviews for a Beverly Hills dance music mag, personal assistant work for a record producer, dance club disc jockey, and a lot of fun in the hospitality industry.

These days, I still live in California, and have found an amazing alpha guy of my own who was brave enough to marry me. We live on a street that looks like Brigadoon, with our beautiful daughter. I have the best life ever, and never forget to thank the Big Guy Upstairs for it, either.

Victoria Blue

Victoria Blue lives in her own portion of the galaxy known as Southern California. There she finds the love and life sustaining power of one amazing sun, two unique and awe inspiring planets and three indifferent, yet comforting moons. Life is fantastic and challenging and everyday brings new adventures to be discovered. She looks forward to seeing what’s next!

“I’m not overreacting! You can’t just pass me around to all your biker buddies and think it’s okay! I’m not a fucking wrist watch you can just throw into the pot!”

Kayla, do you honestly think I would’ve put you up if I knew I couldn’t win? That I would let anyone else touch what belongs to us?” Reese crowds me into a corner.

“Us?” I squeak. Wait, what?

“Yes. Us. Mine and Dev’s.” He enunciates the words. “You. Are. Ours.”

There’s that word again. Ours.

“I don’t understand.”

“Baby, I think you do. I think you’ve always known where we would end up.” Reese cages me in with his arms.

Dev materializes over Reese’s shoulder, and I internally hyperventilate. I don’t know who to look at first as my gaze compulsively darts between the two of them. Two, beautiful, roughneck men, who both look like they want to have me for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

“How . . . how would this even work?” I crazily entertain the idea.

Both their faces split with a fiendish smile. I must have asked the million-dollar question.

Reese leans in closely, stopping my heart. “Let us show you,” he murmurs so seductively my knees nearly buckle. I throw a questioning eye at Dev and he nods confidently.

“You both want this?” I ask with a small voice.

“It isn’t about what we want anymore. It’s all about you now,” Dev voices.

Holy. Fuck.

“Say yes, Kayla.” Dev’s tone is soft and velvety. Irresistible. “Say yes to us.”

I press my back against the wall praying for composure, but the longer they trap me, the more the pressure builds, the more my want fights to the surface, and my resolve falls away into oblivion. I find myself nodding because my ability to speak has become paralyzed.

“Good girl,” Reese breathes before he throws me over his shoulder like a caveman.

“Hey!” I grab onto his shirt.

He swats me on the butt as he makes his way to the stairs. “Ouch!” I flail.

“That’s for bouncing out on me. Never do it again. Got it?” He hits me once more for good measure.

“Fuck you.” I flinch.

“In due time, baby.”

I lift my head as Reese climbs the stairs with Dev hot on his heels.

Reality suddenly strikes. Is this really happening?

“Relax.” Dev traps my chin gently. “We’re going to take care of you. And make you feel so good.” He pushes some dangling hair away from my face so I can see him. He’s incredibly calm despite the carnal look in his eyes.

Once in my small room, Reese drops me on the bed. They each flank one side, making me feel like a trapped animal.

I kneel in the middle of the mattress at a loss at what to do next.

“Strip, baby,” Reese instructs as he unzips his leather jacket and pulls the gun from the back of his pants, placing it on my nightstand.

I stay frozen in place.

I know I’m supposed to move, but what’s clearly about to happen hasn’t sunk in yet.

“Need some assistance?” Dev crawls up behind me and kisses my neck. A switch flips. My eyes immediately roll backward.Yes, please, touch me. Both of you, please touch me.

New Release – Tantalizing Heat by Tonya Ramagos

Gidget Darcy may come from a large family of firefighters, but that doesn’t mean she wants to date one. She may live in Cherish, where ménage relationships are the norm, but that doesn’t mean she’s interested in that way of life. Then she meets Slade Thomas and River Prescott, two uber-hot firefighters intent on changing her way of thinking. Before she realizes what’s happening, she’s overwhelmed by a double dose of tantalizing heat that makes it impossible to walk away…until the unthinkable happens.

Slade isn’t looking for a woman, but when Gidget sits down next to him in a bar, he knows one has found him, even if he isn’t her professed type. River doesn’t care much for surprises, but everything about Gidget is one big shocker after another. When the men team up, they convince her to take a chance. But when deadly destruction wreaks havoc on her life, convincing her to stay forever won’t be as easy.

 “I take it you’re a regular here?”

Slade pulled the glasses closer and offered her hers. “What makes you think that?”

Their fingers brushed as she took the glass from him, sending an electric current zinging up his arm. He knew he wasn’t the only one who felt it. He saw a hint of the same electricity move through her eyes.

“You know the bartender by name.”

“We work together at sta—” Though he quickly cut the word short, her slow nod and the knowing expression that took over her face told him he hadn’t been quick enough.

“—tion,” she finished for him. “What number?”

Slade sighed as he watched his hopes for the night shatter to bits. Not that he knew exactly what those hopes had been in the first place, but they’d definitely had something to do with her.

“Station 2.”

She lifted her glass to her mouth and studied him over the rim as she took a sip. “Which means you lied about being a cop.”

Yeah, he had. He was a firefighter, part of Truck Company 52’s B-shift crew. Taylor Parke was a paramedic on Ambulance 61.

“You told me to,” Slade reminded her.

That got him a quick laugh as she toasted the air between them with her glass. “I guess I did. Thanks for the drink anyway, Mr. Not-a-cop.”

Maybe he shouldn’t ask, but he figured he didn’t have much to lose. He hadn’t come into Sirens tonight looking to pick up a woman. Before she’d walked in, he hadn’t really noticed any of the females in the lounge save for one, and the only reason he’d noticed her was because he hadn’t been able to shake the feeling that she looked familiar. He could’ve easily found out her name. He knew the two men she was sitting with. Russel Bozeman and Chip Cardan were firefighters at Station 4. He’d been considering approaching their table to say hello when Gidget walked in. All thoughts of anyone else in the lounge had vanished. Damn if there wasn’t something—more like several somethings—about this woman that made him want her pretty freaking bad.

“Is that why you came in here tonight? On the hunt to pick up one of CPD’s finest?”

She shook her head. “I’m not on the hunt to pick up anyone, but on the off chance that I did meet someone, I was hoping he would be a cop.”

She was direct, honest, and he got the impression she wasn’t one to hold anything back. He liked that and, because of it, figured his next question wouldn’t offend her. “You’re a badge bunny?”

It didn’t. Instead, she threw her head back and laughed. She had a great neck, the kind that made his mouth water to taste and his teeth tingle to nip.

“Not even close. I’m well aware that the only men who hang out at this bar are cops, firefighters, and the occasional doctors.” She lifted a shoulder. “I don’t date firemen, and most doctors are too boring. In this bar, that leaves cops.”

In Slade’s experience, the only women who didn’t date firemen were either firefighters themselves or they’d been burned by one. Wondering which category she fell into, he asked, “What do you have against firemen?”

“Absolutely nothing. I have five brothers, a father, and two grandfathers who are all, or were, firemen.”

“You have five brothers?” As far as shift principles went—such as the unspoken code that one didn’t date a coworker’s sister without permission—she was safe ground. None of the guys on B-shift had four brothers.

“My mother loves gadgets, but none of them have ever been the birth control variety. There are enough Darcy men to practically rule the Ridgeside FD.”

And now Slade knew precisely who to call if he wanted more information on the Darcy family. Axl Shaffer had worked a temporary stint on Station 2’s B-shift while Ethan Crawford had been out of the action a couple of years back. The man worked for the Ridgeside FD now, but his wife, Lena, and Wes Stanley, Lena’s other husband, were still at Station 2.

“What brought you to Cherish?” Ridgeside was only a little over an hour from Cherish. Still…

“Distance, a good job offer, the opportunity to no longer be surrounded by firemen… Don’t get me wrong. I love my family, but being known as the Darcy brothers’ little sister wasn’t how I wanted people to see me for the rest of my life.”

“Is that why you’re not a fireman?” Slade realized what he said and corrected himself. “Firefighter?”

“I’m not a fireman for obvious reasons.” She shot a pointed glance down her body.

Slade couldn’t stop his gaze from following, which didn’t help to cool the heat inside him anymore than the ice in his drink was.

“As for not being a firefighter…” she continued, and he forced himself to drag his gaze back to her eyes. She had truly beautiful eyes, hazel and expressive and full of a carefully controlled heat. “Yeah, I guess that could be it, too. Apparently, the desire to rush headfirst into a raging inferno ran out of the family blood by the time mine was pumped. I don’t want to be a firefighter, and I don’t want to fall in love with one.”

Slade wasn’t exactly looking to fall in love, though he wasn’t totally opposed to the idea. He’d walked into Sirens tonight with the intention of having a stiff drink or two before heading home to bed. He’d expected to complete both acts alone. Then she’d walked in, and, well, act number one now had company. As for act number two…

New Release – Rock Star Cowboys by D.L. Roan

RSC Cover Web

Happy Release Day, D.L. Roan!!!

The McLendon Twins are all grown up and – oh my gawd – are they ever a double handful! The perfect combination of reckless and charming, the golden boys of Grassland have become country music gods. Carson is the life of the party. Connor loves their music, but he’s had it with Carson’s antics and life on the road. He’s ready to call it quits when their beloved Papa falls ill and they are called home to their family ranch on Falcon Ridge; a place that holds both their hearts and the painful secret that changed their lives forever.

Occupational Therapist Breezy Youngblood once loved Connor and Carson to the moon and back. She was a mere girl when her world was shattered and she was forced to leave Grassland with only her broken heart. When she’s asked to return to help the McLendon patriarch recover, she’s forced to face the tragedy that destroyed her dreams of ever calling Falcon Ridge her home. Will Connor and Carson embrace the second chance they’ve been given, or turn their backs on the one person who can make them whole again?

Hot holy damn! It’d happened. Connor stood at the foot of the stairs and tried to remember how to breathe.

He’d never put much stock in the lightning bolt, earthquake hoopla their dads and Papa Joe fed them over the years about what they felt when they found Mom and Gran. Twenty-four hours earlier, he would have rolled his eyes at one of their stories, but the second he came down those stairs and saw Breezy curled up in his brother’s arms, he knew. She was theirs. Completely.

There had been no lightning bolt, no thunder, not even a tremor. The pull to join them on that couch, however, had been like a subtle, vivid instinct seated deep within and impossible to ignore.

He pressed his fist into the center of his chest where the feeling was still fresh and fluttering around like a caged bird begging to be freed. It was the most amazing feeling, comparable only to bringing life to a new song.

The instant attraction he’d felt to her suddenly made sense. Her taste, her scent, the feel of her beneath him, had all felt so fresh and familiar. On some elemental level his body knew she was the missing part of him.

“You were right to cancel New York, bro,” Carson said, dousing his new revelation with a barrel of cold reality. “No way I could sing like this anyway.”

Connor studied his twin. “What are you doing?”

“I’m going back to bed.” Carson groaned as he flopped back onto the couch and pulled a quilt over his legs.

“No. I mean, what are you doing with Breezy?”

Carson rolled his eyes and turned his back to him. “I was sleeping.”

“Car, I’m serious.” He walked over and snatched the quilt from his twin. “What kind of game are you playing with her?”

“I’m not playing any games.” Carson reached out and snatched the quilt back. “You were right, okay? Is that what you want to hear?”

“Right about what?”

“Me fucking everything up, Breezy, all of it.” Carson sighed, settling back into the couch, his face pinched in pain.

Connor tried to read between the lines, unsure of what he meant. “I don’t understand,” he said, plopping down on the end of the coffee table.

“I’ve been a dick,” Carson said, sliding farther under the quilt. “What more is there to understand?”

That was an understatement. “Let’s start with why you’ve been a dick.”

Carson huffed, wiping his palm across his sweaty forehead. “Does it matter?”

“Hell yeah, it matters.”

“I don’t want to fight anymore, okay? I want things to go back to the way they were between us, and for Papa Joe to get better. That’s it.”

“And what about Breezy? Are you saying you all of a sudden don’t believe the shit you’ve spouted about her for how many years now?”

“No. Maybe.” Carson stared at the ceiling, his lips pressing into a grim line. “Papa Joe told me some things last night that don’t add up.” Between coughing spells, Carson relayed the things their grandfather had told him, including his possibly cataclysmic misconception about Ford’s visits with Charlotte.

“Damn, Car. You don’t think he beat her, do you?” He searched through his memories, but couldn’t remember seeing any bruises. That didn’t mean there hadn’t been any.

“I don’t know,” Carson grumbled. “But if it’s true, I don’t know why she hasn’t told me to go to hell already.”

Connor shook his head. “I talked to her yesterday. She’s just as eaten up about everything as you are.”

A contrite look swirled in Carson’s eyes before he looked away, his fingers plucking at the stitches in the quilt as he spoke. “Did she, uh, say anything else? About yesterday?”
